Having an unexpected talk with my sociology TA this afternoon during his office hour. Like me this is his first year in the school. I was going to clarify my confusion about the lecture in which he made sort of difficult to the students in my level. And for sure I expressed my thought toward the materials and gave him some suggestions. However he expressed his frustration of students' complaint about his teaching style. Yeah, he got a bit emotional. Suddenly, our roles switched. I was the listener and he was the one who spoke(for most of the office hour). Some people like talking a lot, a lot. I'm the opposite, spending most of time listening and giving them feedback. I enjoy my role, being able to digest what they say to me and make it part of my philosophy.
